Two dead in Strathcona County multi-vehicle collision: RCMP

Two people are dead after a multi-vehicle collision in Strathcona County Sunday afternoon.

At about 12 p.m., Strathcona County RCMP along with fire and emergency medical services attended a serious collision on Highway 628 between Range Road 231 and 232 involving a motorcycle, pickup truck and car, RCMP said in a Sunday news release.

The two occupants on the motorcycle were pronounced deceased on scene, officers said.

RCMP collision reconstructionists are on scene and Highway 628 remains closed at this time.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
